Laird Wedding Anniversary

My Aunt Roberta and Uncle Rip shared their 25th wedding anniversary with a kick-ass party on March 20th.  They were kind enough to ask me to take some photos and here are some of my favorites: .

Renewing their vows.  The look on my aunts face is pure love.  This was such a touching ceremony.

The tear falling from my Uncle's face makes this one of my favorite photos ever.  It is genuine.

A little back story here.  My uncle, a very avid Harey rider, was in an accident a few weeks leading up to their anniversary.  After a few surgerys and some metal in his leg he is doing well and was in AWESOME spirts this night!.

Carousel

Taken at the Phoenix Zoo while there for my birthday.  Yes, I go to the zoo on my birthday.  No, I'm not 5 years old.

Shut up.

The Happiest of Birthdays

On Saturday April 3rd my adorable nephew Ethan turned 3 years old.  We celebrated at the in-laws by coloring Easter eggs and then later with a birthday party full of bubbles and ice cream cake and lots of little boy things.

Happy birthday EJ. We love you so much!

City Center Motel

When in the car (as a passenger of course) I like to wrap my camera strap around my arm a few times for security, stick my camera out the window and shoot away.

One of my favorite drives in Phoenix is down Van Buren  St from the 51 to the I-17.
Here are a few lucky shots while driving by the City Center Motel in downtown Phoenix off of Van Buren and Grand.

Leatta + Honda + 2 dogs

This Saturday I had the pleasure of doing a shoot with Leatta, her boyfriend Hondo and two of the craziest and cutest dogs ever.

They had just gotten a brand new puppy so this was a great time to get together and do a family shoot, and it was an awesome learning experience for me.

The people were awesome and the pictures turned out great. Here's a sneaky peaky:

Janelle + Jalissa

I posted up on our work bulletin board about doing a few free shoots the weekend before last.  It was a total blast but to tell you the truth it was frightening.  I was scared.  Oh and I also realized that I have to wear my glasses all the time now.  Anyway, more on that later.

Janelle is a co worker of mine and her daughter is a little star.  She kept posing and going "how about this?".  It was to die for.   They're both beatiful and TOTALLY photogenic (jealous!!) and it was a lot of fun.

Thanks ladies for an amazing time and being my very first clients! You were the best.

First Post

How very very exciting it is to be here! If you came here from Becoming Dee then thank you for following me on this awesome little adventure.

Lets begin with the basics.

I'm Stefanie Dee.

I was Stefanie Cook up until November 14, 2009 when I married this sweet guy:

Michael James Dee. The most patient, loving, supportive guy in the world. Plus he is super hot... BONUS!

Then two weeks later we got this:

(not my picture)

Surprise, surprise. I'm pregnant and due August 7th 2010.

I love taking pictures. When I was a kid I used to have my parents buy me little disposable cameras. I would use them up in a day, and have to have the pictures back as soon as possible.

My pictures were always of people. My friends, my family, my teachers, anyone who would give me a big cheesy grin were the stars of my photos.

Well the same goes for today. I love people. I love young people, and older people. I love people in love, and I love capturing that love forever.

I'm based out of Phoenix, AZ and do this gig part-time.

I shoot with a regular old non-fancy DSLR (a Canon Rebel XS). I feel as though the lenses make the photos, not the camera.

Right now I shoot engagements, families, couples, kids, High School Seniors, or anyone else. Weddings are on the horizon, but I'll leave that to the people WHO REALLY know what to do (I'm a self-professed amateur). I don't work out of a studio of any kind. I think Arizona and its landscape, buildings, parks, etc... are background enough.

If you have any questions or suggestions please shoot me an e-mail at stefaniedeephoto@gmail.com. If you are just plain mean and have nothing nice to say, you can e-mail me too. I'm OK with that.
